Safford sophomore CJ Scrivner won the Division 3 boys 110-meter hurdles and 300-meter hurdles, along with placing eighth in the 100-meter dash at the Arizona AIA Outdoor State Championships at Mesa Community College. Scrivner clocked a wind-legal 15.05 seconds in the 110 hurdles, ran 39.50 in the 300 hurdles and a wind-legal 11.35 seconds in the 100-meter dash championship. Scrivner also contributed to a fourth-place 4x400-meter relay in 3:27.50, helping Safford prevail over Snowflake by a 50-48 margin and capture the program's first team title since 2008.
